I cannot thank Tani and Eva enough for their wonderful customer service and delicious tiramisu! My husband and I had originally spoken with another vendor several months before our wedding about ordering tiramisu for our reception, but in the weeks before they were completely unresponsive and not returning our emails or phone calls. I called up Ciao Cafe with only a few weeks notice to see if they would be able to fulfill our order, and Tani assured us it would be no problem. He and his wife prepared the tiramisu for our 100 guests, delivered it to our venue, and ensured it was stored properly before the reception. It was a huge hit with our guests - many of whom said that it was the best tiramisu they had ever had. Since then I have visited the German Village shop many times and love getting gelato, a frappe or a cake slice if I donโ€™t get the classic tiramisu. Tani and Eva have put their heart and soul into their business and it shows in the quality of all of their food and drinks.

I would have first started this review with a solid four but by the end of our time at Caio, I can only give it a 1, which at that point was generous. My husband and I took my granddaughter to get gelato and we got iced coffee. While she was eating. 8 noticed macaroons in the case. My granddaughterโ€™s favorite. She got back in line behind 7 people and waited patiently. I finished my coffee and when iit was her turn, I stood up and went to help her Oder. We asked for the five fllavirs of the macaroons and we were just getting a raspberry and chocolate . She said she had customers behind us wanting gelato and we would have to stand over-by the case and wait. I was shocked but did so. โ€˜More people continued to arrive. We were ignored.. my sweet granddaughter even said nana. I waited my turn . Why wont she sell me the macaroons.? After 30 additional minutes , we had to leave as it was nearing her bedtime and my husband and I had an hr and 40 mins drive home. She had tears in her eyes when we left Because she just didnโ€™t get it. I would have spoken up but didnโ€™t want to make a scene. It was incredibly rude and disrespectful and you disappointed prob one of the best kids youโ€™d eve

Just discovered this little cafe and I am already loving it. Very chill atmosphere and very delicious food (that dulce de leche crepe was fantastic!) Definitely coming back again to try out more of what they have here.

Great little place for a bit of ice cream and a place to sit and relax. They have other things there, but it's mainly ice cream and sorbet. One really nice thing about this place, was that they had a couple sorbet options which were vegan/dairy free which is a good option for some of us who can't have dairy. Price were decent, definitely more affordable than some of the surrounding shops with more options. Probably because it is not right in the center of the German villages and is less authentic, less authentic in the means that it is more of a modern building on the outskirts of the villages. Still recommended though.

Itโ€™s so cute on the inside, very welcoming and family friendly! If you have wheels you enter through the back to avoid those stairs. The food and the staff have got to be at a constant battle trying to outdo one another! โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ There is even a bigger selection at their Delaware store. Itโ€™s an amazing place to visit.
